Jasper4Kids.com is a website created by a group of Jasper businesses for the purpose of assisting families in planning their mountain vacations. Our owners have young families themselves and are quite familiar with the challenges and frustrations that travelling with the little ones can bring. On this site you will find useful tips regarding family friendly things to do and see in Jasper.

Jasper National Park is a place that should be experienced rather that talked about. Many of our visitors develop an emotional connection to Jasper, its people, its charm and its beauty. Here you will discover an authentic mountain experience complete with rugged peaks, abundant wildlife, shimmering lakes and rivers and clean mountain air. Although the park is almost 10 900 sq kms of untamed and untouched wilderness, your family can experience all there is to offer within easy access from the town site along good paved roads and maintained trails.

The experience continues in the town of Jasper (located in the middle of the park) with many fun and diverse restaurants, shops, boutiques and services. The streets are full of an eclectic mix of locals and visitors alike who will greet you with a smile and love to help with advice and recommendations about the place they love.

Jasper offers a number of activities and events throughout the year designed specifically with families in mind. These include:

  • Jasper in January Street Festival (January 13-29, 2011)
In addition to the many fun events going on around town your family will want to take in the Saturday night street party featuring attractions such as face painting, street performers and mascots. The evening is capped off with a fireworks display!

  • Canada Day (July 1)
This day is full of fun events such as a pancake breakfast, parade and fireworks

This festival will offer a chance to learn about our skies with renowned astronomers. This will be our first annual in Jasper and we are all very excited! Visit www.jasper.travel for details.

Have you ever thought of Jasper as a beach destination? A 5 to 10 minute drive is all it takes to access one of 3 popular sandy beaches. They are located at Pyramid, Edith and Annette lakes. On hot sunny days you will find them full of people sun bathing and playing in the water.
